On March 13th, 2019, Ingenio La Unión’s Energy Commercialization Manager organized a tour of the production plant facilities to showcase the different industrial activities that take place in sugar production and electricity cogeneration using sugar cane bagasse. Invited to this tour were representatives of various institutions related to the electricity sector of the country, including: Comisión Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (CNEE), Administrador del Mercado Mayorista (AMM), Asociación de Cogeneradores Independientes (ACI), COMEGSA, ENERGUATE, TRECSA, CUESTAMORAS, as well as members of the
Board of Directors of Ingenio La Unión and administrative staff. It is part of the company’s continuous effort to build strategic business relations with the energy sector.
